Anxiety Treatment
April 3, 2008 – 6:49 amThe anxiety treatment must be done with the help of a doctor. Since the usual symptoms of anxiety are irritation, trouble sleeping and concentrating, the cures must improve life and calm the patient. Therefore, the roots of the plant “Kava-Kava” are ideal for the treatment of this type of affection – the Kava-Kava plant is known to have great positive effect as a natural short-term treatment especially in mild anxiety. There are used in such treatments also plants like: Chamomile, Valerian, Orange Peel or Peppermint.
In anxiety disorders it is recommendable to follow medication and non-medication treatments. Talking therapies and other specific psychotherapies are used by psychiatrists, psychologists and other social workers; while medication treatments often use Benzodiazepines. Although the mix between therapy, homeopath and medication treatment gave best results, side effects should be taken into consideration.
Blurred vision, dry mouth, fatigue, drowsiness, and difficulties in concentration are the most common side effect. There have also been reported sleepiness and sexual problems, therefore driving, operating machinery, drinking alcohol and taking other medications with similar indications are prohibited during a benzodiazepines treatment.
There are, of course, many ways to prevent anxiety – reducing the quantity of alcohol and caffeine products: coffee, cola, tea and chocolate; make sure that the herbal remedies you take will not increase anxiety symptoms; follow a healthy and balanced diet and exercise a lot.
What is the most serious aspect is that people with General Anorexia Disorder cannot be permanently cured, but they gain confidence and relief of their symptoms.
